Hello,

I'm wondering if anybody has had their petitions/applications rejected because of their photos, or was asked to submit another photo because the photos they have submitted weren't somehow good enough. If anyone has these experiences, please let me know and what (they said) was wrong with the photo. Thank you!

I actually got me photos taken in Pakistan (ofcourse they were full-frontal/passport photos.) and submitted those with my petition and received no RFE or objections.

DID YOU HAVE PICTURES THAT WERE REJECTED?? IF SO, WHAT PICS WERE THEY OF?? THE ONLY PICS THAT I CAN THINK OF THAT WOULD BE REJECTED WOULD BE THE PASSPORT PICS AND THE SIZE OF THE PICS ARE ON THE INSTRUCTIONS WHEN SUBMITTED THE PETITION.

I've read of people needing to resend their passport photos because they were either poor quality or weren't the right size or didn't adhere to the required standards (i.e. white background, etc.).

My problem is that the standard ID photo in the country where I'm in is blue, not white. In order to make it white to meet the specs, they had to trace the borders of my head/body and change the color of the area outside. Consequently my head/body looks unnaturally cut-out from the surroundings. Since the photo is supposed to be "unaltered" or "un-retouched", I'm wondering if it will be a problem.

I have a copy of another photo that was used for I-130 which looks OK (doesn't have the size or cut-out problem). It is more than 30 days old. I'm wondering if I use it for I-129F anyone would notice it's the same photos as in I-130 (submitted more than 30 days ago)?

Any suggestions/thoughts?

When my husband and I took our passport photos in Colombia they had a weird background and the size was off too. So when we tried to explain to the guy what we needed he said "oh! you don't need passport photos, you need US embassy photos for a visa". Sure enough, that's exactly what we need it, they were just labeled different.
