Interview is in 2 days just wondering if anyone has advice for some of the questions they'll be asking?

The only things were really worried about are the fact that we have no marriage plans set in stone. Our goal was to be approved then get married in a courthouse and then a few years later once we've both made some friends here, and saved up enough funds we will have an actual wedding. However we aren't sure that's what they're going to want to hear.

 

We do both have mutual friends from online that know of our relationship and that we are in this process but we can't exactly expect them to fly out for a wedding halfway around the world.

 

If anyone has advice to help with the stress I'd greatly appreciate it.

You do have marriage plans: courthouse. A big wedding celebration is not expected. Just tell the CO the truth. 

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.

Exactly as above, there is no specification as to what kind of wedding or ceremony has to be done. We just did civil ceremony at courthouse, a lot do.

Okay that's what I was trying to tell my fiance but we're both a bit worried even yet. Big decision to be left in someone else's hands. We just want the wait to be over is all.

Don't stress about it.  If you plan to have a civil ceremony and then a big wedding later, no problem.  The fact that you are discussing plans, and worrying about it, is a good sign that you intend to marry.

 

Bring updated signed letters of intent to marry to interview.

 

And on a final note, we all want the wait to be over!

I agree with everyone here.  When my fiancée finally gets here, we plan a to either have a quick courthouse here or a quickie in Vegas.  The big ceremony will be in her country for the rest of the family.

The CO at my interview did not ask about my wedding plans. Just some regular questions like where we met, how we met, what his family thinks of me and vice versa. The embassy or consulate does not expect anyone to have a major wedding with all friends and family from both sides planned because you cannot plan a wedding completely since this process is so unreliable. My husband and I had a courthouse wedding but we changed it up a little, it was done by a river since the weather was amazing.

10/13/2016: Filed AOS + EAD/AP.   07/07/2017: Permanent resident (Conditional)
04/16/2019: Filed ROC  11/17/2020: Approved. (10 yr GC)

For me, I was asked about my wedding plans during interview also. I just said "we will be having it hopefully in *month*...we don't have a specific date yet because we are waiting for the result of the application." :)
