AOS interview rescheduling

Hello everyone,

I am new to this forum and apologize if I am posting in the wrong place. My husband and I have filed for AOS in December 2016 and we got all the paperwork done and submitted through a lawyer. Our interview date was June 22nd, however, my husband was not allowed by his employer to take the day off work in order to attend this interview... We have contacted the lawyer about this issue and he sent a letter to request a reschedule for the interview on June 21st to the interviewing office.... I know rescheduling is not a good thing to do especially in such short notice unless it is extremely necessary and I am very worried. I have read many couples' journeys and most of the ones who reschedule have had to go through a lot of loops to get back on track. What worries me is not delay of the application, but rather denial. I have read instructions on the USCIS website and it states that you are allowed to reschedule but I have read many stories which were not as simple when it came to rescheduling...  I am extremely anxious of what is to come so please if anyone has had a similar experience or has some knowledge on the matter, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
