I have a couple questions about the I-134 Affidavit.  Currently, I am a substitute teacher for multiple school districts in the county where I live.  There is a county Educational Services Center that I signed up through but I was not technically employed by that particular center.  I am employed by each individual school district.  I do have three employment letters from three different school districts (even though I subbed at more than just those three).  Each substitute job is temporary on an as-needed basis and each school has a different pay rate per day (which is in the letters of employment), but you can do this job full time 5 days a week (but I don't any way of proving that).   Last year I was working in Colombia and didn't make enough to have to file federal taxes (not sure if this information helps or not).  I also DO HAVE a co-sponsor that meets all of the income requirements.

  1. How should I go about putting this information down on Part 3. 1.a.1  about Name of Employer and the current employer address?  Should I list all three or will just one suffice?
  2. What should I put down for the annual income?  I'm not sure I can put down something that is calculated and I won't risk it unless I know that is indeed acceptable.  Otherwise, how should I answer?

Questions not related to the financial sections of the I-134.

  1. Off topic, for Part 2. Information about the Beneficiary, do we put down the A-number that we received on the NOA2 for the beneficiary?
  2. For the beneficiary's children, my fiancée has two children but only one of them is coming to the US under her K-1 visa.  Should I put both of the children down or just the one coming the US?  I want to be careful about this one too!

Thanks so much! :)

easy answers first.

-Put the A number of your fiance in the Part 2 area.

- Only list the children that are coming to america with her would be my gut, but if you put both of them in the original I127 document than list them both.

For your annual income, put your projected income for this year.  The tough part is not having a 2016 year tax return.  Without that, I fear you may encounter an issue.  You will definantly needs all of the letters from your employers.  Also, get them copies of every pay stub for the last 12 months along with all of your bank statements.  In these interviews, all they are doing is going through a checklist.  and marking off that you have the requested documents.  If you bury them in documents they will be happy.  But again, not having the 2016 tax return could be a problem.  Give them your 2015 tax return and than any kind of proof f income from your time working in colombia.  Good luck

Thanks!  That's what I was thinking about the children.  On the I-129F I only put the child who was coming but other VJ members thought that I should have put both children regardless.  So I wrote a letter and had it notarized saying that I recognize the child in case it is brought up (which I wouldn't be surprised).

I was going to turn in my tax return for 2015.  I was an English teacher last year in Colombia but I didn't make enough to file for taxes in the US.  I am going to send a copy of the my contract to them (or at least the part about the salary).  I really hope it doesn't cause a problem.  As stated before, I do have a co-sponsor who does meet all of the income requirements with all the necessary documents needed.
