Wow everyone... 3 months later and our NOA2 has been approved!! We can't believe it!! BUT one thing is worrying me!!

We used a visa help service which recommended we send "2-3 emails back and forth each week" to prove ongoing relationship. We have been together over 3 years now... Frankly, we stopped emailing 'daily' after about year one. Everything shifted to skype/viber/facetime like so many of us.

I work about 60 hours a week at times, so '2-4 emails a week' has not happened. We've sent a few thus far back and forth..

However, again, we do have SOME from these past few months and tons of other daily contact info.. Phone calls are what we use most via facetime.

Do we need to be worried sick about this? Combined with older emails etc, we can still provide an encyclopedia sized book if they want - but emails specifically, we don't have a ton of recents. Im praying some of you have been approved via all the other social outlets (facetime, viber and more). We can still have a thick packet over 3 years and Ive been there twice. Plane tickets, receipts etc..

Again, should be worry sick or just write more from here forward and bring a ton, be fine?

I know the governments look for "fake" couples, but wouldn't they want to see what we sincerely DO as opposed to "suddenly writing emails again because everyone says to"? I know emails have more depth, but you get my point.

Thank you to everyone who can give feedback after your interview experiences. I WILL BE AT OUR INTERVIEW and wouldnt miss it!!!

Congrats on the NOA2!

As long as you can show proof that you are maintaining some kind of communication, you will be fine. My fiance and I have sent maybe 5 total emails to each other within the past 2 years haha. Most of our communication is on Whatsapp/Facebook.

If you are going through the visa process and will be interviewing in Casablanca, Morocco, join us over at the

You honestly should not be worried at all about this because a mjority of people these days talk on FB or Skype. It will be a YUGE plus if you actually show up at the interview. I went to my then fiance's interview and it helped her alot and we had a good time of it as well. She was speaking to the CO about something and mispronounced a word and I laughed and said it aloud back to her, she kinda playfully hit me and the CO laughed at everything. He ended up talking to me more than he talked to her and she passed.

My fiance and I talk mostly on Viber.  We only use email to send documents to each other.

With Viber, you can email your chat history to yourself.  I do this each week.  Then I pick a day, copy and paste our conversation for that day into a word document and save it.

We chat a lot on Viber, so this sample file can get very big - about 400 pages.  But if I need to, I will convert the entire chat log (which is about 6000 pages) if that is the proof they need.

But from what I have read and learned, a sample of your communications is all they need.

It's not very feasible to be sending 2-3 e-mails per week when there are easier and more real-time communication options these days. My fiance and I don't really e-mail each other because we voice call via KakaoTalk and text chat via WhatsApp on a daily basis. In fact, the only time I really e-mailed him was when I wanted to inform him about his flight and seat arrangements (for his visit to see me) or any other serious or important matters because I know he'd want to refer to those information again and it would be easier to search back in his inbox. As long as you can provide alternative communication logs or proofs, that should suffice. So really, don't worry about it.

Good luck with your fiancee's e-mail :) Have a safe journey too.

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.

You dont have to worry at all. The only time we emailed was for important docs we would need so they were more accessible and i wouldnt have to scroll through our entire chat to find them. I just provided the call logs from facebook chat, and some screenshots of our chatlogs, with a note on then saying our entire chat could be provided if necessary. Im currently waiting on embassy for interview, but if i were you i would have zero concern about lack of emails bc it hasnt affected us in the slightest
