I believe those quotes were in reference to a "protester" that was being violent. If you are dishing out violence you shouldn't be surprised if people defend themselves with violence. The difference between this and the left is the left uses violence offensively without being provoked or attacked.

You got the blinders on here : forget the left or right and think about they way folks treat each other.

When our leaders model bad behavior or condone bad behavior in their language folks begin to take on that behavior.

 

In the cases above there was no reason for trump to say anything. He was firing people up in an extreme form of political theater. That has consequences , and kids are watching all this go down.

It's funny I have seen a few videos of protests where a leftist assaults someone they disagree with and the person who was assaulted turns around and pops them in the face in self defense and the leftist starts crying. They can dish it out but they can't take it. I really don't want to see the scenario you described but the leftists deserve what they get of they keep the violence up.

That is true, but there does appear to be a magnification of the side opposite the side in power.  We saw that eight years ago with the radical right and now we are seeing it with the radical left.  There are differences though.
