Hello!! My husband and I have been married since Dec2011. We have completed everything and been approved.. except for the i485 interview. We went with our lawyer to the interview 10/6/2016 and received the notice the case is pending review will notify us. We have not heard anything!! I have made several inquiries through the online system and receive response in the mail "still under review" also had annoyed lawyer so many times to check on this and he is telling me the same thing.. this is such an exhausting process and we would just a like a response- any advice or anyone with similar experience, can share? thank you!!

We interviewed October 5, 2016 and we're told to wait. After 4 months, we were denied for "abandonment": because we did not reply to an RFE they said they sent to us - but we never received.

Later, a lawyer said that had we been using a lawyer, any correspondence to us would have also gone to his office - and we would have known about the RFE.

So, you can only wait ... there is nothing else you can do. I am guessing it is in background check, though somebody else might know better.

What does SR mean? No infopass.. I have put in 3 inquiries through the website and each comes back still under review. My lawyer said he has been told the same whenever he gone there and then asked.. But thats just his word, who knows!

It means Service Request which was what you did. Does it say something like this "Due to workload factors not related to your case, USCIS anticipates a delay in completing your case. USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration benefits in the order received and in a timely and efficient manner. We regret any inconvenience that results from delays in processing."

My lawyer submitted a service request from USCIS website and that is what we received from them.
