Hi everyone!

 

I'm from Cornwall and my son and I are moving to NC to live with my fiancé. We filed our paperwork towards the end of April so currently waiting on our NOA2.

K1 & K2 Visa 

 

18th April 2017: I-129f sent

21st April 2017: NOA1 Received Date

25th April 2017: NOA1 Notice Date

26th April 2017: NOA1 text confirmation

2nd May 2017: NOA1 hardcopy

7th September 2017: NOA2 Approval date

21st September 2017: NVC Received
21st September 2017: NVC Case # Received
27th September 2017: Left NVC
27th September 2017: Case Ready

4th October 2017: Medical

12th October 2017: Interview

24th October 2017: Visas in Hand

27th October 2017: POE

16th December 2017: Wedding Day

Welcome!  My fiancé is from the U.K.  We filed on December 21, 2016 and he got his approval at the interview on June 1, 2017.  He flies over tomorrow so we are super excited about that right now!!

When are you all thinking about obtaining your police report/cert?

I'm going to start looking into the finance stuff my fiancé (the petitioner) needs to get this week.

It will be a while before we get our NOA2 as we only filed earlier this month.

We got our NOA1 via email last week, and still waiting for the hard copy.

Apply for it after you get your NOA2. It takes about a 7-10 working days to arrive :)

K1 Approved on the 30th of June 2017 (6.5 months in total, no RFEs).

 

AOS Journey 

October 2017 filer

EAD/AP Approved December 2017 (75 days, no RFEs)

AOS Approved 8/15 (no RFEs) 

 

Living in the US

Info on getting set up

Hi Everyone, 

 

i am from Nottingham, UK 🇬🇧 

We received our expedited NOA2 on the 22nd (hardcopy on the 29th) we're waiting for the NVC to receive our petition, bad timing with the 4th July holiday postal hold up! 

Everyone keeps saying time flies but it's dragging for me now haha! The excitement of the NOA2 suddenly dies down.

I have ordered my police certificate (due any day) and I have all my medical paperwork (although I don't tick any boxes) just incase. 

I have no criminal record or anything like that... yet I am STILL having the worst anxiety about all of it! 

This is my life and I can't wait to start it with my U.S Marine but I'm so nervous! I don't think I have any reason to be denied at all... but I still wonder haha! How silly! 

I love reading all of your stories and Maybe I'll be in the same room as some of you soon!!!

Don't worry - I promise you it's not as scary as it all seems! The medical and interview are actually the easiest part about the whole process haha! I was super anxiety ridden and there was no need to be! Once you get your LND case number and the case arrives at the embassy, things move really quickly after that! You'll have your K1 before you know it :)

I really appreciate this site and I wouldn't of been able to do it without but sometimes the things you read just scare you! I am scared to death of all of it! I'm even scared to start making plans etc with my fiancé as not to "jinx or curse" It hahaha! 

I could probably ask you 1000000 questions but I'll spare you. Trying to keep busy until I get my LND number (calling every Monday) 

 

ill update you once I have that and then maybe you can help me as you seem pretty positive and upbeat about it all and that's what I need lol! Xxxx
