German Police Certificate

Hi all, Asking another question - We have our German Police Certificates and need to send to NVC with translation - do we need a to get a copy of Certificate but in English or do we just have the Certificate name and the result translated and signed???   Thanks..

For my German police certificate I translated it word for word and put it in the same format - including address and date at the top of the page. A translation should always be in the same layout as the original.

Thank you - that is what we thought we might have to do - we do know someone who is a German Citizen so with luck they should be able to help.

Oh just another question did you get the copy signed as a true translation and if so was it signed on the actual copy or as a separate item as in         "I (name) as a German Citizen fluent in German and English agree this is a true translation"  then sign and date etc or did you just send the translation

I am a qualified translator (you don't have to have it translated by a German citizen or a qualified translator - just someone who can attest to being competent in both languages). The little statement and signature should fit at the bottom of the page. If not, attach a separate sheet.
