Confuse about the select service Question?

I was over 26 when i became permanent residence and check no and it ask for attachment of a statement explaining do I need to write a statement  and also a status information letter how do i get one do i need to obtain one along with this application? thanks

Timeline

If you were in a non-immigrant visa like a F-1 or a H-1B between 18 and 26, then you would answer no to 44.A. If however at any time between 18 and 26, you were in the US and not in legal status, then you would have to answer yes to 44.A. If you are able to answer no to 44.A., then you shouldn't need to provide the status information letter.

I came here on a K1 visa like you said if i put no i dont need to provide that letter but its asking for it in the question?

I assume you are referring to Section 44.C.2, but you only need to do that if you answered yes to 44.A and did not register for selective service.
