K1 process frm another country than mine

Hello everyone,

I'am Algerian living in France (student), i would like to ask if my fiancée come to visite me in france, and then we apply for k1, can i continue the process from France and from the embassy of USA in france without going to algeria at all ? ( interview and medical appointment  in france ? )

Yes, you can get it done in France since you're currently living and studying there. Just have your petitioner list the embassy in France on the I-129F.

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

As long as you are considered a legal resident there you can put in France as your country. Just make sure the duration of your residence/studies there will still fit in the timeline of the process. It can take more than 6 months for the whole thing.

January 25, 2021 - ROC application received

January 22, 2022 - Case transferred

January 16, 2022 - Naturalization application received

April 7, 2023 - ROC and Naturalization Interview

April 20, 2023 - Oath Ceremony scheduled
