Yeah it's actually super risky to ask to have your interview rescheduled, it's a huge mistake to do so. However, in some cases you just have to, there's nothing you can do about it. USCIS gives you the option to reschedule in case of extreme emergency so you'd think it should work, but in many cases it doesn't, you just get denied instead.

Like others have said, go for an infopass asap. Hopefully there's some sort of records of that you asking to have your interview rescheduled was granted by USCIS, that way it's clear the mistake was theirs and hopefully they'll open your case again so you don't have to refile.

I just talked to a tier 2 officer and she said I need to wait for the denial letter for the reason as it doesn't make sense that on May 18th the field office would respond to the inquiry by saying that they are waiting on a scalable slot and the on June 15th send a denial.

Does that mean you called USCIS and didn't make an infopass appointment? If that's the case, USCIS gets things wrong a lot over the phone and simply can't always be trusted. You NEED to make an infopass appointment at your local office and speak to someone in PERSON! bring the proof with you that states you we granted a re-schedule.

My gut instinct says it's more likely the interview rescheduling, because that happens so often I've lost count of the number of posts I've seen here asking about it. It's a lot.

I just hope it is that. In that case would this count as USCIS error and a reason to expedite my case?

I did call USCIS and make a Infopass appointment for July 5th. So I will take all my emails as proof that my reschedule was granted way before my interview nearly a month before my scheduled interview. Also would anybody know how long it takes for the letter to be mailed from the field office to the residence because the denial letter was mailed on June 15th and I have not received it yet considering i live like 45 mins from the field office.

"Mailed" doesn't mean that it was put into the Postal System that day.  Like most offices, especially government offices, things are marked by category.  Mailed means that it can be printed, then it gets put into an envelope, and dropped off to the mail room.  This probably takes a couple of days.  Then once it gets to the mail room, it sits there until the next Postal pick up, which could be an extra day or two, depending on whether it's marked as ready.

I would expect it by end of this week or next.

You are not the first person to be denied after re-scheduling an interview.

It seems that the communication between the different offices is not very good.  When one office grants a re-schedule, they are not telling the interviewing office.  So when the interview date comes and goes, the interviewer just assumes that the person didn't show up and denies the application.

It is always suggested to not re-schedule interviews, unless absolutely necessary.  In your case, it was probably the only way.

Contact the interviewing office ASAP and let them know that you were granted a re-schedule.  I'm sure that you will need to provide some proof (letter/email) that shows that your interview was re-scheduled.

Good luck

I went for my infopass appointment and it was true some one had marked me not present as well as out of status thus denied and then the officer was confused to see my file he double checked everything and said it does not make sense and that he will email.tjis case to his supervisor and probably the denial will be revoked and that the supervisor will contact me through mail.

I have again taken a appointment for August if I don't see a letter plus I still have not got my denial notice and it seems even though I changed my address about an year a go and have s notice for that the field office is still sending mail on my previous address.

Hell yeah.

but I would say USCIS made up for the lost time after their mistake was pointed out. Everything happened within days.

I always thought that too, until we had to reschedule our AOS interview.  It was handled very quickly by USCIS mostly over the telephone.  When we got to the interview, I apologized to the IO for having to reschedule and he waved his hand and said "It's not a big deal."   He went right on with the interview.    Maybe it depends on the field office.  Maybe they give that impression to keep the number of reschedules down.  Maybe its not relevant anymore.  I'm not sure.  Just an FYI

Any why do you think that is?  It's nothing more than the ineptitude of the employees at CIS.  The people that work in government jobs (especially at the federal level) are mostly uneducated, incompetent, and lazy idiots who couldn't find a better job.  Lazy people love civil service jobs because there's very little oversight and you can get away with slacking off.  Look at the timelines we have to deal with.  Do you think that would be accepted/tolerated with a private company?  No, a competitor would eat them for lunch.

It's seems to be getting worse by the year, i believe they should hire more workers. A lot of mistakes is happening and they won't take responsibility for it.

I am in  almost similar case, where they supposedly schedule an interview without sending Notice, no email no text and no online update (since Aug 15, 2016----case is ready for interview).....after several calls and finally lucky to get a Tier 2 office who noticed an administrative error.....that my case was schedule for interview in March 6, 2017 and they didn't send me a notice. She apologized and expedited my case. Since then, nothing has happened. I have contacted my senator and finally got a date for the interview. Still no Notice  after two weeks.

There is no way to hire additional workers without raising application fees, due to USCIS being largely self-funded and receiving very little funding from the federal government.
