This is not about "security breaches" in general. In the case of phishing, which this subject is about.. it's entirely the end user who needs to disregard their training and common sense security to allow others access to their data. You've been worked up about phishing campaigns, but there's no proof this phishing campaigns 1) came from the Russians, and 2) shows Russians "hacked", "meddled", etc. in the elections. Thus far it's much hysteria over run of the mill threats with no substance.

You call it common sense. IT systems  are complex and constantly changing. A user logging onto their email at a coffee shop could be enough to create a breach. I have experience in this area and deal with these challenges often.

I am not sure why you are so offended by the evidence. I was simply pointing out that there is no conflict between the secretary's statements about election day and the Bloomberg report.

The fact is the FBI issued specific techincal guidance including known ip addresses to block to election officials on Aug 28.  If it hurts your feelings to call the attackers Russian fine, call them "foreign".

Not opening attachments on computers with outside connections, and not clicking spoofable email urls (instead manually entering them) is not complex whatsoever. You simply wish to make it so for the sake of justifying overreactions.

Plus, if the left wanted to be taken even slightly seriously on the matter, maybe they shouldn't have went nuts with the same hysteria way before the election? Maybe they shouldn't have went nuts on Jeff Sessions for doing what every Senator does.. meeting diplomatically with members of other governments? Maybe they shouldn't have went nuts with every single made up "Russia hacking the election, hacking the power grid, hacking this, hacking that" conspiracy every moment they could? Maybe they shouldn't have went nuts on Rex Tillerson working for a globalist company that does business with every country, including Russia? It's pretty hard to find common ground with people who are just out to grasp at any straw they can locate.

Or maybe the left could use some tranquilizers.

Might calm some people down who've had TDS since before Trump was elected.
