Who's got their popcorn out?

http://www.dailywire.com/news/17771/4-dumbest-democratic-reactions-their-stunning-ben-shapiro

or eight months since the election, the Democratic Party has teetered on the brink of suicidality. Driven mad by the election of President Trump, they’ve decided to waste their political capital on rumormongering about Trump’s supposed nefarious Russian connections and fulminating about a “stolen election.” They’ve lashed out in rage at the electorate, which they’ve termed racist and sexist and homophobic. They’ve failed to come to grips with the one simple fact that explains why Donald Trump won: Hillary Clinton was the worst candidate in the history of the republic, and the Democrats went all-in for her.

Because Democrats still can’t come to grips with that fact, they’re now applying the same outrage tactics to voters in the Georgia Sixth Congressional District that they’ve applied to voters in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin since November. Never mind that the GA-6 has been Republican for four decades, and that only a bizarre confluence of events even led to the district being competitive. No, 31-year-old ne’er-do-well Jon Ossoff would have won if it weren’t for Republican bigotry.

With that in mind, here were the four most indicative Democratic responses to Ossoff’s loss to solid Republican Karen Handel.

1. Republicans Are Just Evil. Here’s feminist writer Jill Filipovic on the topic:

At what point is this not a failure of Democrats but toxic, vindictive voters willing to elect hateful bigots? https://t.co/EYNDuzxzGL

— Jill Filipovic (@JillFilipovic) June 21, 2017

I know, it's more convenient to blame the party for just not convincing people. But what kind of ppl vote for candidates like Handel, Trump?

— Jill Filipovic (@JillFilipovic) June 21, 2017

At some point we have to be willing to say that yes, lots of conservative voters are hateful and willing to embrace bigots.

— Jill Filipovic (@JillFilipovic) June 21, 2017

Some are even motivated by bigotry - it's the bigotry that speaks to them. There's no winning that if Dems keep their soul.

— Jill Filipovic (@JillFilipovic) June 21, 2017

Maybe instead of trying to convince hateful white people, Dems should convince our base - ppl of color, women - to turn out. Cater to them.

— Jill Filipovic (@JillFilipovic) June 21, 2017

Given that this was Hillary Clinton’s exact strategy in 2016 and it failed dramatically, Democrats should certainly continue to insult voters with whom they disagree.

2. Democrats Must Move To The Left. After barely losing in South Carolina and Georgia, some Democrats now say that their party must embrace Bernie Sanders socialism and radical transgender bathroom policies. Or something. Here’s Sally Kohn:

Best thing that could come out of the #GA06 results is for Democratic Party to finally give up its self-destructive obsession with centrism

— Sally Kohn (@sallykohn) June 21, 2017

......

4. Civility Will Never Work! Over at the Washington Post, Paul Kane theorizes that Ossoff was too polite. “The most passionate Democratic activists have wanted a full-frontal assault on Trump and congressional Republicans, angrily denouncing party leaders for not aggressively supporting more progressive candidates,” writes Kane. “So Ossoff chose the high priest route instead of the fierce warrior. It was civil disobedience rather than civil unrest. And he still lost, by an even wider margin than the almost forgotten Parnell.” Yes, Democrats need to get more aggressive, speak more loudly, be ruder and more obnoxious. That’s the ticket! Democrats have been so befuddled by Trump that they now believe that Trump won by being vulgar, not because Hillary was an awful candidate. Never mind that Karen Handel is the most polite, milquetoast Republican candidate in recent memory and just shellacked Ossoff.

i dunno about you guys, but I sure hope the Dems come in 2020 with a leftist nut like Elizabeth Warren, or Nancy Pelosi. I'm sure going hard left and attacking half the voters is gonna help them a ton. :pop:

Tucker nails it:

[D]emocrats still have literally no idea why they keep losing elections. If they did they would have run a real candidate with a real job who understands the constituents he is attempting to represent.

Instead, Democrats put up a 30-year-old semi-employed documentary filmmaker who can’t even vote for himself because he doesn’t live in the district. He’s got a ton of trendy rich people positions on just about every topic – the abortion people love him. He is gravely concerned about climate and childhood obesity and the availability of organic kale. He thinks illegal aliens are noble. He went to the London School of Economics. He is super fit and way smarter than you want.

We could go on and on, but you’ve seen it all before. That’s the point. Voters have seen it before, too. And outside of Brooklyn and in the west side of L.A., they are not that into it. That’s why Democrats keep losing.

I agree. Next time I'll triple my contribution. Obviously we didn't send enough, and the GOP bought it instead. LOL.

ETA: Does the 6th of GA extend all the way to VT? Wow! That's some serious gerrymandering!

CNN’s Lemon: A Republican Winning in Georgia ‘Shouldn’t Be Breaking News’

On Tuesday’s broadcast of “CNN Tonight,” host Don Lemon reacted to the results in Georgia’s special election by saying a Republican winning in Georgia shouldn’t be breaking news.

Hillary said she lost because of sexism. Yet Handel was out spent by a very wide margin and beat a younger white male.

Hint to Hillary and the MDL. It wasn't sexism

According to you, Handel bought the election. Now you're saying she beat the other guy.
