Dems just lost South Carolina's 5th district special election.

That's 0 for 3 in their millions spent on pushing a referendum on Trump in local elections.

Will it be 0 for 4 tonight in Georgia? :pop:

Probably ...the Carolina vote should be considered a victory in that there is no way any democrat should pull within 10 %

Looks like Ossoff might loose by 5 % which is not good.  Still Price took that seat by 20 % and it has been in the Republican hands for 4 decades

Checking for new results in 2 sec.

Because none of these were supposed to be in the Dem Column, the SC race for sure, just being in the running should generate attention for other Dems who want to challenge in Republican districts.  The SC race should concern Republicans.

Handel was not an incumbent. That's why Dems made the attempt. Incumbents (i.e. Mulvaney) have a 96% re-election record for the House. Simple as that.

So unless Handel does something stupid, she's gonna coast in 2018.

Nothing is that simple in politics.  When was the last time a Democrat held the Ga 6th??
