CR1 Extension letter receive and then what?

I did go to the interview and finger printing/background checkin here in IL. My permanent resident card was good until last year August 2016. I received an extension letter that I can stay for another year. And now after all of those process and submitting all the requirements to prove that my husband and I have a good marriage, I am still waiting for my permanent card. What card I am expected to receive. I thought I would receive a card stating one year extension in my permanent card. I don't have that. And I am worried I only have less than 2 months and my extension will expire. Am I expecting to receive a green card that is good for 5-10 years? Please help me. I am so worried. Should I worry and do action related to this? Or should I just relax and wait for the card? I heard they gave a permanent card that's good for 10 years right before your birthday or before your extension expire? Is it true? Please send me info to help me. Thank you.

there is no card for extension,

 

the letter is your extension, if you don't get the card by next month, make an infopass appointment at the local immigration office to stamp your passport with another extension good for another year.

 

some people have had more than a year delay, just don't stay without an extension if you haven't received the 10 year GC in the mail by then.

 

better safe than sorry
