I was thinking perhaps as a note beside the title of the thread *Moved to Off Topic Forum*

Of course it's explicit for the person that wrote the post, but it would at least give those of us wading through them some idea what they were about without clicking on each of them and going to half the forums on the site. Many times the title of "PLZ HLP" isn't descriptive enough to know where it's going to be moved to.

:D

I agree. Would be nice to know where the "moved threads" are being moved to....

Walk with the angels

let them keep you safe

we'll join you one day

in that wonderful place

stand on the clouds and never forget

we're holding on to you

in our memories and thoughts

until one day we'll meet again

Truly missed but never forgotten:

I have no idea what is involved with moving a thread, and if the moderators actually have to write the word "moved", every time they do so with a thread.

But it would seem to me, that unless there was an easy way to "insert" the title of the forum that a thread is being moved to, every time they do so, then to have to write something like............

moved to the K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures General Discussion

EVERY time they move a thread.....................would be a real pain in the %#$. ;)

I have to agree that it seems pretty easy enough as it is, because #1) The thread does not get deleted from the original forum, and is still there. #2) All the person has to do is.......'click"......and then look UP....even when it is moved....and the title is plastered right there for them to see.

Just seems to me as though it's more than easy enough as it is, and would be extremely aggravating on the moderators part to have to write the "name" of the forum it was moved to, every time.

I also think, it would just take for it to happen one time , or hopefully by two (when a thread is moved)......for the member who has had such a thing happen to them to "catch on", and from then on they'd understand the process of what happens to a thread once it's moved, and so to have to continually do all the other stuff to make it even easier.................would be unecessary .

when you move a thread, there is an option to keep the thread title in the forum it was moved from.. the thread title will still show in the forum it originated from with a little arrow by it showing that it was moved to another forum....

I think all the movers are doing this properly.

I thought the issue was that people *still* can't find their way to their thread even with the link left behind. Honestly, I don't understand what the the issue is anymore.

1. People have to spell properly.

2. They have to know how to use google (not just keyword based search but the advanced features as well).

3. The archives (where some of the best info is) needs to come back online so google/yahoo spiders can index it and make it searchable as well.

Yes, I know - never gonna happen.

 Google/search are foreign terms, dontcha know?

Nice to see I've been gone 2 weeks & the same issue is still being discussed (& STILL not answered) to death!
