Hi guys... after checking out the government website for a uk police report I noticed there was a £45 opotion for visa purpose.. the details sounded the same except the price.

 Which one did you get ??

The police certificate is £45 as shown on the application. https://www.acro.police.uk/uploadedFiles/Police Certificate Application Form Nov 2016 v28.4.pdf

 

 It needs to come back saying NO TRACE. If you have had an arrest or even a caution that are now stepped down, it will say NO LIVE TRACE. That will not satisfy the embassy. A Subject Access Report is an additional document you can order from ACRO which will reveal tha hidden charges. A "caution" in the U.K. means a charge you have plead guilty for but it didn't go before a court. It is considered a criminal offense.

You need the £45 one first (ACRO). If it comes back NO LIVE TRACE as Wuozopo said, that's when you request the £10 Subject Access Report (SAR).

I am the USC, my husband is a UKC. IR-1 via DCF London.

 

3/24/2017: I-130 packet sent

3/28/2017: NOA1 date

5/19/2017: NOA2 date (received 5/25)

6/14/2017: LND number received

6/27/2017: medical booked

6/29/2017: Knightsbridge call that needs to come back for 2nd chest x-ray

6/30/2017: 2nd chest x-ray

7/3/2017: Knightsbridge call to confirm x-ray was clear

7/5/2017: interview booked - approved in principle pending receipt of medical

7/6/2017: status changed to Issued

7/09/2017: e-mail from courier that it had been received from embassy

7/10/2017: courier delivered

Just chiming in from personal experience.  

We had a caution and did receive a checklist but got it overturned after escalating to a supervisor and explaining that he's never been to court :)  

Subject Access Report probably would have saved us the 6 days it took for Supervisor review so in hindsight, we probably should have ordered it to.
