Also posted with this should be how much money you need to make for a 2 bedroom apartment.  Min wage in CO is 9.30/hr.  Two bedroom apt will cost you 3 people working fulltime.

Good point. I used this page to get a quick idea before I got my job and we were still considering relocation.

Ha. I am in Colorado and it's first in the list with the lowest rate of unemployment. But, not much feedback after tons of applications submitted.

If you're looking for a place with good job opportunities, you can't look at states, you need to break it down to cities. Take Texas for example, it's a HUGE state with big differences in job opportunities, housing market and quality of life depending on where in the state you relocate. In Austin, we have an unemployment rate of 3% with job seekers basically setting the tone whereas Corpus Christi have an unemployment rate of almost 6%. 

 

It also depends on what industry you're in. If you're in big finance, you're probably gonna want to be in New York but if you're in technology, Austin's probably the place to be right now.
