CR-1 change to IR-1

I received the hard copy of the NOA2 on 17th June and it states the visa is CR-1. Our 2 year anniversary was on the 19 June 2017. Will the visa change to the IR-1 once we process through Naples?

I don't know exactly at which point it will change to IR-1, but if by the time you physically enter the POE you have been married for more than 2 years, you should get a 10 year GC. So, I'd assume by the time you get the visa that they would just issue an IR-1 since you've already passed your two year anniversary.

Yes I've read that it doesn't really matter what the form says, if you've been married over 2 years at POE, you should receive an unconditional 10 year GC in the mail.

That being said, it is good to politely mention this at POE as a sort of gentle reminder.. something like

I am under the impression that, as I am entering after my second wedding anniversary, that my visa category is now IR 1 instead of CR1.. is that correct? 

If CBP officer says no or is unsure, ask for a supervisor to clarify it, as if your GC comes as a 2 yr rather than a 10 year, you will have some issues with the conflict of ROC but not needing to ROC.m

Hello, in my case my 2nd year anniversary is 3 days before my scheduled interview at the consulate. 

So I was wondering if the CO will automatically switch my application to IR or should I mention it?

You can ask them about it during the interview (after they've told you that you're approved obviously).

Ok so while I was doing the online application it already says IR-1 visa. Has anyone done the online application yet?
