Are you adjusting from a certain type of visa?

If it's K-1; fill out the I-485 form (adjustment of status), I-765 and I-131 (employment authorization and advance parole). Write a complete check of $1225, that is including the biometrics fee. You don't have to pay for the work permit, the fee is waived when filling with I-485.

Visitors visa; I-130 (spousal), I-485, I-765 and I-131. Total check of $1760

Hello..

Im on K1.. Im just wondering coz you said we'll pay $1225 for the AOS & EAD is waived with it already. How about for the advance parole? coz i checked, there is a fee of $575 and there are 3 options for it (D, E & F). So which one k1 fall?

Thank you

There is no fee for i-131 as long you have filed and paid for i-485.

Thank you.

But what does advance parole for? If I apply it together with my AOS, does that mean i can travel to my country anytime for a short vacation? Do i really need to include it in when i apply for AOS? Is there any validity for that?

Thank you

Correct, there's no fee for AP or EAD when filed with the I-485. If filed after the I-485, you include the NOA1 from the I-485 instead of payment.

AP (once obtained) allows you to leave the US for short trips without abandoning AOS. You cannot leave the US prior to obtaining AP without abandoning AOS...and likely needing a spousal visa to re-enter since any non-immigrant visa will be extremely difficult to show non-immigrant intent after AOS. AP is not required, but is suggested since it's free and circumstances can pop up unexpectedly that require you to leave the US.

Thank you so much for making it clear for me. I will include it then in my AOS
