Unclear whether their concept of NeoCon equates with that of the larger world.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

For me personally abortion isn't an issue at all, women's choice always no matter the circumstance. I was just referring to how almost any issue can change depending on the circumstance for me.

For instance, one of the questions was: Should we spend more money on the military? Well I don't know, does the military need it or is it just boosting up fire power that does not need to be boosted? It all depends on the circumstances.

cept that wasnt the question this was---"Military spending is a waste of money." ?  That is an absurd question, because Military spending at some level is necessary, without a doubt and only an imbecile would argue otherwise.

Now how much we should spend , what % of GDP and should we have a military that is strong enough to project power all over the world is a reasonable debate.

It was the question on one of those quiz's there were 4 altogether. But yes, that question is absurd because it is necessary.

There are multiple problems with all of these quizzes. Questions are vague and poorly written. Being forced to 'agree or disagree' with statements, without clarifying anything makes things very limiting.

To me the biggest problem is we all know the reason for taking the quiz. They don't try to blind or mask the reason for the questions, and most questions were quite obviously related to one of the 4 axes. We all knew going in it was going to give us a "layout" of our ideology. That makes it incredibly easy to manipulate. I did my best to answer honestly (though I felt like I hit neutral quite a bit, despite my results). However I could just as easily go back again and answer the questions in a way to intentional seem "middle of the ground".

There is also a lot of published data out there about the use of 4 point vs 5 point likert scales. It is well known that when you ask questions with a 5 point scale (with a neutral answer in the middle) you are far more likely to end up with a narrower range of responses. More people will just end up in the "middle" because they don't want to make a decision either way, and they know they are being "asked" for a reason and don't want to be seen as responsibility for anything.

It would be interesting to go back and force everyone to not choose neutral, then see what we get. Even I went with neutral on quite a few (i tried not to).

- This one is even worse. Far less questions, only 3 options for each. If you just click maybe for everything you come up "Libertarian" instead of just "Non-committal".

- I like this one a little more because it takes out the "middle" question. Still a lot of questions through that I would have preferred to just "throw out" (Not answer middle, but not have it count to my result) since it was so vague I felt like it was skewing my result.

Interesting for this one I was further left on the economic scale than the social scale. I typically see myself as further left on social issues (though I know I'm also left on economic issues as well).
