Employment and Address History

Hi all,

I am REALLY struggling with the address and employment history sections on the I-129f. I just graduated from grad school and have been a full time student for the past six years. I know that we shouldn't leave gaps in employment history, but does that mean that I really need to list out all the dates in between my old summer jobs or part time jobs?

Ex:

05/2013 - 08/2013 Job A

08/2013 - 05/2014 STUDENT

05/2014 - 08/2014 Job B

08/2014 - 05/2015 STUDENT

etc etc. This seems like it is even more confusing. What I did do was list all of the dates I worked for summer jobs and those positions, and on the last line of that section I put "full time student" with dates from 08/2011 - 04/2017. Is this okay? I'm assuming they will realize that the gaps in my "employment" are due to education?

Address history is similar. Do I need to list all of my apartments while at school AND list all of my addresses during the summer months when I lived at home? I moved around each year so this would be like 10 addresses. If I don't include my summer "home" addresses (with my parents) there is sometimes a month gap in the history due to leases that didn't meet perfectly from start to end.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, this feels like such a basic thing but it is giving me a huge headache!!

Thanks!

Are you the petitioner? I would recommend you list all. My husband (petitioner back then) had only one job for the entire 5 years so this was a breeze. For my part, I just followed the info I had on my resume and listed all. I had parttime work as well.

I don't think being a student is a job. Unless you were a graduate assistant. I wouldn't write "student" as a job if I were you.

Yes, I am the petitioner. What you said makes sense, I suppose it's better to be safe and list them all. I wonder if it would be acceptable to attach a written explanation of my address and employment history in case it's confusing?

As for the student piece being listed as a job, I do agree that it isn't employment but on other topics I've read that you should list statuses for any gaps in employment (e.g. stay at home parent, student, or even unemployed).

Hi, just wondering if you have already checked how to write your address and employment history on page 13, will you list them separately on several copies of page 13 or together, such as my picture below?

I posted this at another existing topic but got no replies so far. I am also in doubt as to which number I should add as item number. I too have several addresses and employments.

Thanks

I haven't filled the addresses in yet because I also am not sure how to list them properly! I was going to leave the item number blank since it didn't really apply. And I haven't found an answer to that elsewhere either :( I feel like I'm overthinking all of this but it's super frustrating!
