Could anyone help me I was laid off my job, But just got another job but its through an agency temporary.

Our interview is set for next month will there be an issue. Because my job isn't permanent.

Yes that can cause some issues because they want to see consistent and long term finances. 

 

Obviously things happen and people get fired/laid off/quit jobs all the time due to certain circumstances.

 

How long is the contract/employment for? Are you well above the 125% line needed for I-864, could you get a co-sponsor(just to back you up and avoid any issues you know).

11/23/2016 : POE - Dallas, Texas

From sending of I-129F petiton to POE - 146 days.

 

02/03/2017 - Married 

02/24/2017 - AOS packet sent

06/01/2017 - EAD/AP Combo Card Received in mail

12/06/2017 - I-485 Approved

12/14/2017 - Green Card Received in mail - No Interview

Timeline

How will they know you got layed off? Is this K1 or CR1 etc. If they have the I-864, it was correct at the time your signed it and you aren't required to tell them that anything has changed unless they ask.

Cateogory: CR1

  • NOA1/Notice of receipt: Sept. 15, 2015
  • NOA2/I130 Approved: February 8, 2016 (NO RFE) :)
  • Process slowed down by us
  • Sent documents to NVC: April 11, 2016
  • Scan date: April 14/ May 7th (NVC said both I dont know why)
  • Case Complete: May 31, 2016 (No checklist) :dancing:

August 17, 2016: Visa Approved!!!! :dancing:
