Hi,

I have a situation where I (conditional resident) would like to move to another state and take up a new job there while my wife (US citizen) will stay behind for 9 months and finish her schooling and then join me at our new location once she has finished. The reason for this move is I am finding it hard to find good professional jobs at our current location and the only reason why we are there at our current location is for my wife to complete her education.

If I move we will maintain equal residency in both states and will even file joint state taxes and so on. I would like to know if this will be something hard to explain? Do adjudicating officers see similar type of case very often. Is there anyone here who has done something like this while the case is pending. I don't want  to delay our process either by doing something that would further require additional processing.

Any advice will be helpful for us to make a decision.

Thanks,

W
