I-485 Denied (Financial), Reapplying Medical

Hi Everyone,

 

Our I-485 was denied due to financial documentation.  I submitted more info with the RFE but it simply was not sufficient.  We are going to refile with a joint sponsor but I have a few quick questions I am hoping someone with experience can help with (Note: it's been more than a year since overseas medical)

 

1. When we sent in our first I-485 about 6 months ago we did a new medical and sent that in.  We have no proof of this but immigration officials do of course.  Do we need to go get a NEW medical right now for our new I-485 even though one was sent in just 6 months ago? 

2. If a joint sponsor does not make the poverty line but owns large amounts of property and has large bank accounts which exceed poverty lines do they need to include anything more than their tax returns such as proof of land ownership or bank statements?

How long did it take you to get the denial notice after submitting the RFE?

April 26 2017: Package sent to USCIS Chicago Lockbox
April 27 2017: Package received by USCIS
May 8 2017: NOA1 Received by Emails and Texts
May 9 2017: Checks Cashed by USCIS
May 12 2017: All 4 NOA1's received by Mail.

May 19 2017: Biometrics Letter Received, Appointment on June 2
