If you entered the country to plan the wedding (and disclosed that when asked what the purpose of the visit was). And the officer would admit you, I would agree with your statement.

Entering with intent to marry has no legal impact, and you are not required to disclose that unless asked. You are not required to disclose anything without being requested to do so...albeit it's usually better to disclose something than to seem like you were hiding it.

But that's not grounds to deny AOS.

Hi everybody,

 

sorry for the long time of not responding, just wanted to let everybody know it worked out fine. Flying out this Thursday with the visa in my passport, wedding on the 21st.

is this going to make things easier with AOS and work permit ?

I don't think it helps with AOS and work permit, but signing up for health insurance, bank accounts, credit cards and getting a driver's license are a lot easier when you have a SSN.
