Indeed. And my "litmus test" advice for any USC wondering if they are being played for a geeen card is always to announce, with great joy, to the foreign boyfriend/girlfriend that they have decided that the K-1 is too expensive/complicated/long etc and they have therefore made the decision to move to the foreign country so that they can be together there. And wait for the reaction.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

Now a US citizen!

hello

please guide me

sorry for my english

please tell me , me and my fiancée  must to meet together before start to do anything like USCIS ?

or i can start and send my document  USCIS & then for example before one month to embassy interview ,  me and my fiancée meet together and take photo ,is this possible or must first meet together and take photo before to do anything   ?

thank you

I just hope that you are trying to educate yourself in the process that you and your fiancee will have to take so you will have knowledge of what to expect. THIS process is SERIOUS and very STRESSFUL to people (like myself) who have found love on the other side of the world and are trying to bring our loved one here to start a life together. When people try to be "sneaky" and use this particular way to get into America, it makes things harder for US (the people who actually are honest and true).

READ, READ, READ and READ ALL the information given on here and the USCIS website. And if you have any questions or unsure of something you and your financee can come here and find the answers from more than ONE person. WE are ALL here to help eachother. A big family of support from one continent to the next.

I hope you find all the information you need and PLEASE take this process serious. Its not cheap to become an AMERICAN citizen. lol

4/1/2016: Met online
7/1/2016: communicated by email, text and skype
3/5/2017: He finally came to see me from Italy, stayed for a week
3/10/2017  : Proposed
3/11/2017  : He went back to Italy
5/25/2017  : Mailed our I-129F
5/26/2017  : Texas Lockbox received petition
5/31/2017  : Received Text
5/31/2017  : NOA1 Received

8/20/2017  : OFFICALLY ENDED RELATIONSHIP

I was a former K1 visa holder now USC and I can tell you that saying this is a "stressful" process in an understatement...but organization and team work are the key words to make it successfully. This are the kind of things that brings couples closer together or can tear them apart. If you make it alive out of this process, is very likely you are going to be together the rest of your life:jest:

Joke aside, is not nuclear science either... just following the guidelines and with the support of vj members we made it all the way from my k1 visa, Adjustment of status, ROC until my citizenship last year without nor a single issue or RFE. I've been here since 2011 and most of the people I know, made it without any other issues
