Case status after biometrics

Hello all,

I went to my biometrics appointment a few weeks ago. However, when I log-in to MyUSCIS, the most recent status is "Fingerprint appointment was scheduled". Under that there is a section for "Next Steps" that says "We will prepare your case for officer review."

Is this pretty typical? Do you know if the status stays the same, even though my fingerprints/photographs were taken?

Thanks!

Mine is the same.  Some folks that had their biometrics done around the same time as me changed either same day, or a few days later to in line for interview, and honestly... after almost three weeks I am getting a little antsy!

Now, I am not sure if this means my bio stuff hasn't been looked at, or it's just a simple matter of someone forgetting to click a box in a database entry at the USCIS.

Thank you both! CookieCat, I believe my local office is Baltimore. I didn't see any estimated times on their website, but any further thoughts you may have would be appreciated. Thank you again.

I don't know your local field office etc, and if it's normal for their processing times for you to have waited so long, but have you checked your case status online at all?  does it still stay "we have scheduled your biometrics" or does it say you're "inline for an interview"?

If you are concerned, you could call USCIS or schedule an info pass to have them check your case status.

It still says:

On November 28, 2016, we scheduled you for a fingerprint appointment and mailed you an appointment notice for Receipt Number NBC*#########. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your appointment notice by December 28, 2016, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

and as i said before, we did everything by December 18th or so.

Not sure where we filed to, we live in southern California now. We'll call up USCIS later this week.
