Nvc procedure delayed

I am sorry beforehand I am new to this forum if i have put the question in a wrong category.

So my husband was mailed the appoval of his case and forwarding it to the nvc almost a month and a half ago. But we have delayed sending any documents to the nvc yet due to some personal reasons. How does it affect our case? And is it going to delay the whole process a lot ?? And im from Pakistan btw my husband is a US citizen.

Hi there! Don't worry about it, it does not affect your case, just send in the documents as soon as you can. Once the NVC receives your documents it takes about 9-11 weeks for them to be reviewed. 

 

On the NVC page it says that if there is no activity on your case for one year (i.e, you haven't paid any fees or sent any documents in a year's time from when they create your case), it will enter termination. Since it's only been a month and half for you, there is nothing to worry about.

Thank You SabRob. I kinda had an idea about the one year time limit but i thought it was counted in from the very start of the procedure that is even before the case approval. But I am glad i still have time. Thank you.
