Why then are they also not stepping up to put to death:

Anyway, so the qu'ran is holy text. I can accept that. But what are the hadiths then? an accumulation of "these too"? kinda like the Catholic macabee's?

My understanding is this: the Quran is god himself. The Hadiths are the words and deeds of gods prophet. All Muslims are required to try to live their lives as the prophet did and the Hadiths serve as their guide for doing that.

Once again, some people are confusing certain people's corrupt beliefs/actions with the religion as a WHOLE to be corrupt!

I can understand where these comments or beliefs of certain people on here begin. Certainly it is with biased media. The media, God Bless it, only seems to portray the negative. The positive is unimportant because we seem to enjoy more reading about nastyness around the world, or more specifically in the Middle East. The proof to that is that everyday i see a different topic against Islam. No need for names, but you people better go learn more about YOUR religion rather than attempting to educate the rest of the world.

Sorry, if the guy is actually put to death or this, but it is his decision. If I know I'm going to be put to death for it, I don't think I'm going to go around saying Praise the Lord. No one knows who he's praying to when he's on the rug, so keep a low profile.

Yup. Unfortunately some people seem to be more than happy with basing their opinions about muslims on a negative stereotype, which I guess is what happens when you have an insular world view.

For some reason it has become socially acceptable to stereotype muslims, more than any other ethnic / cultural group. Ever noticed when anyone asks the question "What do you actually know about Islam?" they invariably reply "I know all I need to".

Might as well say the majority of bad drivers are predominantly asian women, amounts to much the same thing at the end of the day.

So, what exactly did our men and women in uniform die for over there? So people can be sentenced to death for believing what they believe? What a worthy cause...
