I just had my AOS interview yday at the Milwaukee office. Our appointment was at 8am but was interviewed 845am.  ALL the IO has asked are info from the I485 form and how me and my husband met and a clarification on the timelines of my visit.  I honestly had a mental block.  it was my husband who answered most of the questions.  The IO never asked for any of the documents that we brought and ended the interview by discussing 2 year GC and how to file for a removal.  She said that we may no longer be required to appear for an interview If we are able to meet all the requirements.  She also mentioned about me travelling with my GC and my passport.  My questions are:

she never said that I was approved nor denied the application

she never asked for us to submit anything . Does this mean approval?

Please shed light.

thanks

Sounds like your interview went pretty smoothly. The IOs rarely approve on the spot even if the interview went well. I think it is standard procedure. They still need to verify information and get upper management approvals. Based on what your IO told you though, it sounds like you will get approved. You should get an approval update on the USCIS website soon after the interview.

We just had our interview in early May and we didn't get approved right away either. However, our status was updated to "Your case was approved" about a week later and then "Your card was mailed" about two weeks later. We got the GC about 3 days after that.

It was so overwhelming, you know the feeling that you have been waiting and have been preparing and finally that day came! the interview only lasted for probably 15 mins. We were the first to step out of the building but was the last one to be called.  I am just in limbo and was floating after the interview.  Thanks for the reply @ricky90501
