I am wondering, my Nephew got marriage to a USC wife since January and  both have been living with me in my house throughout the filling process. Now after RFE for I 484 his status has changed to READY TO SCHEDULE FOR INTERVIEW... now I am the joint sponsor because his wife USC did not make enough income under $10, 000 annually, so I decided to let them stay with me until my Nephew get his EAD which is still pending so that they can rent apartment. My concerns are how can they meet the Rent/Lease Agreement, bills, which is going to be required during the interview?  How can they prove bonafide marriage without such Evidence. Any suggestions/experiences advice  will go a long way to help them. Should they lease an apt before interveiw ?  What are other bonafide evidences he needs for interview.

A joint lease is just one type of evidence of marriage but it is not required if you have other forms of evidence (eg, joint tax return, joint financial documents, joint utility bills). As long as these show that you are faithfully married, that should be fine.

We had our AOS interview not too long ago and we didn't have a joint lease either. My wife got her GC already.

Maybe joint cell phone bill. Or joint car insurance. A checking account statement with both names. Mail addressed to both at the same address can be used as evidence, too.

How can you get utilities bills without a lease/ rent

You don't need to show a lease to get utilities. and it's not necessary to have both names on utilities (which they won't do anyway). Showing bills coming to both people showing same address. License same address. You can easily draw up a lease agreement go to Staples, Office Max and get one cost about $10. Put their names on it,
Where is their joint bank account, pictures together with family at events and holidays. So much they can show I am sure.
