AP & EAD approvals...combo cards???

Just curious to see if others are still waiting also..

 

Our I-131/AP was approved on May 23, we received the letter of our approval and they said the travel document will me mailed. There have been no updates on the USCIS site and no documents have been received to date.

 

June 13 I received an email that a new card for the I-765/EAD has been ordered. We never received any approval letter, just this email.

 

I hate to assume, but I am thinking that maybe we will be receiving the combo card.

 

Can you tell me how long after  the card has been been ordered do we typically receive it?

Jan. 28, 2016: mailed the I-129F application

Feb. 1, 2016 arrived to the lockbox NOA1

Feb 4, 2016 check cashed

Feb. 8, 2016 Signed return receipt arrived

April 7, 2016 Case was approved NOA2

Aug. 5, 2016 was issused a new NOA2, the first one was never sent and it took 4 months to find and issue a new one

Aug. 17, 2016 arrived to NVC FINALLY!!!!

Aug. 22, 2016 Case and Invoice number and sent to Santo Domingo

Aug. 24 Case READY in Santo Domingo :)

Aug, 29 Biometrics

Aug. 30 Medical

Oct. 3 interview

Oct. 3 APPROVED

Oct. 11 Visa issued

Oct. 12 Documents collected from the Embassy

Oct. 14 Passport ready for pick up :)

We received it in the mail within 3-4 days which was extremely quick to me.

 

But within a week or two I think would be normal.

08/15/2014 : Met Online

06/30/2016 : I-129F Packet Sent

11/08/2016 : Interview - APPROVED!

11/23/2016 : POE - Dallas, Texas

From sending of I-129F petiton to POE - 146 days.

 

02/03/2017 - Married 

02/24/2017 - AOS packet sent

06/01/2017 - EAD/AP Combo Card Received in mail

12/06/2017 - I-485 Approved

12/14/2017 - Green Card Received in mail - No Interview

No. Once it said Card was ordered it just showed up.

Sometimes the updates don't work as they should on the online status tracker. After the status about "your card is being ordered/produced", it should change to "case was approved", and then "card was mailed". But like I said, far from everyone get these updates.

 

This is what mine looked like:

 

05-19-2017 - EAD status "card ordered"
05-22-2017 - EAD status "case approved"
05-25-2017 - EAD status "card mailed" 
05-25-2017 - NOA2 hardcopy in hand
05-30-2017 - EAD in hand

K-1: 12-22-2015 - 09-07-2016

AP: 12-20-2016 - 04-07-2017

EAD: 01-18-2017 - 05-30-2017

AOS: 12-20-2016 - 07-26-2017

ROC: 04-22-2019 - 04-22-2020
Naturalization: 05-01-2020 - 03-16-2021

U.S. passport: 03-30-2021 - 05-08-2021
