I'm on the K1 applicants page in the downloads section, clicking on the link for the DS-156 form (not the DS-156K form). However, all I get is a page saying it has been moved or is no longer available (or something like that). Where can I find the form?

I also noticed that on the DS-156K form I'm supposed to attach 'evidence of my engagement to my fiance.' What?!? Ok so what can I use as evidence to support my engagement? Any ideas will be much appreciated.

The link is broken...try here..State.Gov Forms

Evidence to support your engagement (in most cases) is Letter of Intent (again)...

Virtually all consulates and embassies want the electronic one filled on line and printed, this generates a 3rd page with bar code that is scanable by the consular office saving time to enter the data on the form into their system.

http://london.usembassy.gov/cons_new/visa/...electronic.html

https://evisaforms.state.gov/ds156.asp

A second notice of intent is what they are asking for.

You can use the one listed on VJ page http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...p;page=examples

Just change the addressing to that of the Embassy or Consulate.

Thanks everyone- the link worked... unfortuntately the computer I'm using doesn't like the form so I still can't fill it in. Typical! I'm not beaten- I'll switch to a different machine.

Thanks also for the advice regarding evidence of engagement- much appreciated!

The form works OK with fire fox browser, just ignore the warning. You do need Adobe reader on the computer to print the form out.

I just looked at those two forms again and I am getting worried. For the DS-156K I don't think my fiance attached proof of engagement. I told him to bring that to the interview. Was he supposed to attach the pictures and emails and engagement ring receipts and all that?

Too, the DS-156, I think he told me he generated a barcode and printed it,but I am not sure. It would be a mistake if he did not right?

Sorry, but I'm just nervous now, don't mean to hijack your thread! I'm trying to call him now,but the connection is acting up.

Bring to interview. Most consulates only want DS-230 part 1 and DS-2001 (OF-169) mailed back, the rest brought to the interview.

The signed letters of intent are good evidence of proof of engagement. If you have ring receipts etc, fine include them, but the letters on their own are good enough. :)
