Two I-129F Approvals..

The post office marked my I-129F forms as undelivered (on their delivery confirmation page) so I sent them again. Somehow the USCIS still received BOTH applications. They only cashed 1 check (yay!!) so I thought they realized it was the same application but I received 2 NOA1s. I put both into the system to watch for touches and both worked. (They were a week apart in dates.)

Yesterday I received TWO emails from USCIS saying BOTH applications for I-129F were approved. (They still hadn't cashed the 2nd check. yay!)

I know there is at least one other user out there in this situation of two I-129F filings (sorry I can't remember your username!) so Don't worry! They will be approved! (And apparently on the same day.)

Now I wonder if the embassy will realize its the same application or if they will try to give me two interviews.. :lol:

07/09/07 - Emailed DS-3032 (Choice of Agent) to NVC

07/19/07 - Mailed AOS Fee Bill ($70) to St. Louis, MO

07/19/07 - Recv'd email from NVC - Choice of Agent was accepted

07/23/07 - IV (DS-230) Fee Bill was generated

08/11/07 - Recv'd IV Fee Bill via snail mail

08/15/07 - Recv'd AOS Packet in the mail

Why does your header say that it's the PO's error? You didn't look around to see that the 'undelivered' message is common, you refiled a duplicate case, you caused them to have to match up your files. You are lucky they didn't cash both checks! :)

Why should I have to look around to find out they commonly misinform people?

And this was before I found VJ (or any other immigration forum) so I really had no way of knowing the post office routinely does this.

It's a moot point but I still consider it their error. :P

The "Post Office" does not deliver the packets to USCIS - mail to Post Office Boxes must be picked up.

USCIS has an employee actually GO to the Post Office to PICK UP the mail.

The USPS (Post Office) scans each packet several times while within the US Postal System.

The packet is scanned as "Delivered" only when the USCIS sends someone to actually pick up the mail.
