I-130 June 2017 Filers

USCIS just updated their official reported processing times, looks like December 31st, 2016 for permanent residents filing and November 2nd, 2016 for US citizens filling I-130 for spouse at Texas Service Center.

I've heard that Visa Journey's predictions are much more accurate though, we are predicted to get NOA 2 around December 9th, 2017 which is still ages away :(

63 days waiting for my wife and I at Texas Service Center, has anyone heard anything at all yet even an RFE? I understand this is a long wait between NOA1 and NOA2 but it's driving me crazy.

After finally getting my receipt notice for the I-130 a month and a half later. My husband asked me to send the 129F in anyway. So I did and got my NOA1 today. Praying for a miracle.

Yes my husband wanted me to apply for k3 in addition to the I-130. I strongly believe the I-130 will be approved before the k3

I've seen several people mention "priority dates", and I've researched the meaning of this, but I still have no idea what this has to do with "cut off dates" and vice versa. Can anyone break this down for me? I don't understand that part of the process. My priority date is 6/20/2017. Thanks in advance!!!

It means as of that date they've started working on your case.

Where this becomes important is when you look at the case processing times. Nebraska, for example, is working on cases from November of 2016. Your priority date is how they determine the order of picking up the applications. As June filers, we have to wait through people with PD's in December-May before they get to ours. That backlog is why we're looking at first quarter of 2018 before we expect any movement on our cases.

The K3 is basically obsolete and very few are being accepted now, unfortunately. Which is infuriating considering how slower they're getting once more. Just letting you know in case you were thinking about it  :)

Little update for all our fellow june filers. We have called Texas Service Center last week due to their processing time still saying they're working on Nov16 cases and rhe response of the person we spoke to on the phone was that in fact they are still working on cases from Nov16 BUT this doesn't mean they're not any further with processing than that, meaning there might be some open cases they have due to wrong filing or still missing documents. He said we should expect worst case 6-12months from now.

I was so shocked I almost started crying and wouldn't believe it.

However I looked through the other forums of filers up to March17 and they're starting to get their NOA2 letters now so hope's up. Looks like best case we can hope with responses in december...would definitely be a nice christmas present 😊

Stay strong yall.
