Yeap it says May 31 im about to call them ask if its a glitch a typo or not lol! Because its so odd all other service center looks so behind if they are really working on May 31.

It says they are processing December 6 as of May 31. It means they are working on December cases as of May 31. According to visajouurney, they are working   on February second week application so far today.....

I called they said its accurate. And the guy said its because they updated the way they are doing the approvals. So we should see approvals flow in over next few weeks to match that date. They are catching up ......

Hi! New here - i130 received on June 23rd, we got receipt number and know it was sent to Nebraska service centre from an email we got from someone working at the lockbox (not gotten anything in the mail). Wondering what the logic is behind where they send the applications since we're abroad - sounds like we were unlucky with ours!

Do they work strictly from the dates on the processing time website in receipt order or do people ever get processed quicker, and if so for what reason?

We had no clue it was going to take so long, had planned to move to the US in early Jan next year but now looking like we may be stuck here a little longer!

Hi there and welcome. There isn't any rhyme or reason as to why the applications go where they go.

The dates on the processing time site is where they were the last time they posted (for example they posted Nov 15 a few days ago but that was as of the end of May).  If you look at timelines here, people in Sept/Oct are still getting approved as are people in late November. It ranges all over the place but mostly within about 15-30 days either direction of the posted date so far.

As for January, a standard I-130 application is taking 7-8 months to approve at the USCIS and then there is still NVC and embassy interview.  If you're doing a standard application, best bet is probably May-June of next year. We are all hoping they move some workload around or things speed up after November/December (They had a huge influx due to price changes and Trump's presidency), but who knows.

Sorry for all the bad news but welcome to the island of misfit toys!

Yeah, unfortunately that was the bit we missed! I thought we just needed the i130 approved (and i'd read online that it took 5 months) - didn't know about all the other bits!! Sort of wish we'd stayed in the US after we got married now. Oh well.

Fingers crossed for the speed up...! I think it's a standard application, what do you mean by that? Thanks so much for your response!

It was 5 months.  Now its running longer.  Backlog.  And I mean if you didn't file direct with the consulate which I'm assuming not.
