congrats

how did you request that ??

Just called USCIS customer service.  If you meet one of 10 (I think) criteria and can prove it, you can get an approval. It's rough though...  someone on another forum got denied citing ISIS attacks in Egypt but I got approved having young kids in a rough situation with their bio-dad and being emotionally distraught by me being gone.

Mine finally changed today online and I got an email stating that they sent it over to NVCOn December 12, 2017, we sent your case, Receipt Number YSCXXXXXXXXX, to the Department of State for visa processing. You can check the status of your case at the National Visa Center after six weeks from the above date by visiting www.nvc.state.gov.

That's what it now says. So its just today they sent the docs even though I was approved from the 5th, but thank god it has been sent, hopefully they receive and confirm before 6 weeks.

I called last week on 12/5, they told me my case wouldn't be outside normal processing time for another 114 days and my PD is May 8th. 114 days is almost another 4 months and i'm already at 7 months...it's so crazy to me and incredibly frustrating! :(

Yes unfortunately that is what it seems to be. I feel your pain, hang in there, this whole process is so hard and the waiting & being apart is getting unbearable!

I was advised that normal processing times are the dates listed on the website. We are all aware that the website is not accurate but in my opinion, they keep it that way to avoid the calls after the 6 month turn around time. 🤔

I think its according to the Date they are working on, if they passed that date then you can do the inquiry.
