Yea, I think my file was pulled up because of the change of address. Because when I submitted a change of address, it said I would get a response in 20 days, but the same day an officer attended to my file, so at that time I figured my file was already with an officer.

hmm We had to do that too and we got our notice that it went through like 3-4 days later. How do you know that an officer looked at your file, did you call ?

No, On the app, when I check my status, it shows that someone reviewed and updated my case with the new address. I also got an email that the case was assigned to an officer and then another one to say it was completed with my new address. So I am just assuming.

That's nice. I didn't know that you can even get an email when you case gets assigned to an officer. My app just shows that it was received.

This was just for the address update though. Not for the actual petition.

I was just wondering, who will receive the mail from NVC? The petitioner or the beneficiary?

As far as I know the beneficiary has to choose an agent that would get all the mail. most of the people choose their spouse so it's easier and faster or then their lawyer.
