HI,

Does anyone know what PD is Miami Field Office currently processing?

@kiris Did you get your infopass? How did it go?

I actually got my Oath Letter in the mail on the day when I was going to schedule infopass…but with my luck it turned out to be the date I'm on a cruise:jest:

So I went to the Oakland Park office personally to ask for rescheduling….and I'm back in line for another couple months yay))

Did you get your Interview Letter yet?

@kiris  I actually got the interview text yesterday (Oct 30th). I was kinda shocked as I expected it sometime in Jan 2019 (according to their timeline). I don't know the exact interview day yet as I am waiting for the letter. I was supposed to be on a trip (ticket paid already) between 11-12 thru 11-20 but now depends on the interview.  I really want to get over with this so I am not rescheduling. HAVE FUN ON THE CRUISE!

Congrats on your Oath, you can get a passport on the same day if you have an international travel in less than two weeks through a passport Agency, there is one in Miami, below is the link:

https://passportappointment.travel.state.gov/appointment/new/travelplans/8C47B9B308D01AFDD9D2DE7801C3F35F

Go online and make an appointment as walk ins not guaranteed service, don't forget to bring all the docs, such as:

1- Your Naturalization Certificate

2- A passport photo

3- Filled passport application form DS11

4- Mean of payment, they accept credit cards

Show up as early as possible even if your appointment is on a later time and be prepared to stay there a good amount of time, it will be an extra $60 for the expedite service.

Good luck!

You mind if I ask why the pain and stress? I just applied, I know it’s going to take some time, but I believe the benefits of being a LPR and a USC are very similar, unless you are planing to move out of the US, sponsor your spouse (which I did as LPR and it’s the same as USC just longer) or have some kind of criminal record.

Im not trying to be a bully, don’t get me wrong, just want to understand why pain and stress of this process if you can live, work and travel without problem.

I believe this is everyone"s feeling when it comes to the process , it's been more than 17 months since I applied , the processing time when I applied was 8-10 months , so you plan your life accordingly , when you don't know when they gonna call you , then they call you , and 2 days before the interview they cancel the interview cause your file is not there , then wait another 3 months and this is just an idea and when you think it's over cause you reach the interview , you get a rude officer who just wanna dig for any reason to deny your application, then another month of waiting. I guess now you have an idea why its stress and painful.

I believe if you don't see any difference between LPR and being citizenship then you shouldn't apply , yes indeed the feel of freedom when you get the citizenship cause you can travel anywhere you want without thinking of how many days your will be out and if that gonna affect your case.

Hello everyone!

Any ideas on what PD is currently being processed - Miami Field Office?

Thks

No idea, I’m waiting for my Wife’s interview on her i485 and just saw the processing time increased to to 11.5-29 months :( we’ve been waiting for 13 now. My AOS 5 years ago took less than 90 days.

Hope I get the interview soon. My understanding on processing times is that first number is 50% of completed cases and  last number is 93%, so I “should”  get the notice anytime between tomorrow and year from today.

on the N400 I just applied last week, but I know somebody who just got it and it took him 16 mths apply to naturalization in hand. Of course it seems that processing times keep increasing as we go.....

Hi Guys,

This is my timeline:

PD SEP 20, 2017

FP NOV 11, 2017 (Rescheduled  - first FP was Oct 7, 2017)

Interview Text OCT 30, 2018

Interview day DEC 5, 2018

Im crossing my fingers so I can be done by this year!

Just to let you guys know, I had an infopass on September ...it went really bad as the IO was very rude. At the time, the IO told me they were processing Jan 2017 which I replied that it wasn´t an accurate answer because while I was waiting I asked 6 persons  having their interview what PD were they and they all said late May 2017. So I left the office quite disappointed. A month later I got my interview letter. I have no idea if the infopass helped or not.

Cheers and be patient.

So glad an grateful my journey is over! Today I had my Oath Ceremony at Oakland Park office. All and all the process took 18 months with RFE & Oath reschedule. Just very happy and relieved….dreams come true.

The funniest thing, I came into the country EXACTLY 5 yrs ago (Nov 16, 2013).
