OK- checklist is OFF!

OK folks,

So after all the niceties courtesy of the Walsh family (NOTE: I am most respectful for this man's grief and his constant work to protect all children, don't get me wrong), I called MTL a couple of weeks ago. Conversation went as follows (thoughts are in parenthesis for literary license LOL):

Me: (performing my best "Please enlighten me Oh wise woman on the phone") I was wondering about our case...

MTL: Case number please...

Me: number bla bla bla

MTL: Weeeeellll..... YOU.... have not send us your checklist.

Me: Oh, we we received Adam Walsh letter, and were waiting for instructions...... (you #$%^.... )

MTL: OH! Your husband was amongst the first ones to be cleared. Do you have your checklist ready?

ME: (Oh really? And here I am thinking he was a pervert....) Oh thank you (as if I had any doubts he would be, and NOT thank you for NOT letting us know...). So what is the next instruction????? We have everything ready since bla bla bla.

MTL: Well dear (I swear to God, she actually called me DEAR - between lovely & kinda creepy ), please send in the list and I will try to squeeze you in as soon as possible, perhaps in June.

ME: Oh my Gooooood!!!! thank you sooooooooo much. You are so helpful (Ok, I admit it, I did make an award winning assssss-kissing performance, but it was warranted you guys so give me a break.).

So to finish of the tale, checklist is on its way via Express Post. I'll check in with them in a few weeks to hopefully at least know that they have it on file (though Canada Post does let you know by email when something is received). Dah. I am happy today. An no one is going to ruin that. Top it off with whipped cream: my boss is on vacation.... bliss.

i'm glad you had the "nice" person at montreal on the phone. some are nice, and as you may have experienced, some not so nice. i just want to make sure that you have a realistic expectation for the interview. there are a couple of regular VJ'ers on this site dealing with montreal (myself included) who have been waiting for montreal interview dates.

colin wilson sent his checklist in end of august 2006, and i sent my checklist in 3rd week of september 2006. neither of us have our interviews as of yet. you can follow our journey and frustrations in the montreal thread in the DCF forum.

i hope things will come around for you as soon as the lady said...... that would be very nice and fast!!
