I have seen that security clearances for B1/B2 get finished soon in two to three weeks. Hopefully yours get finished soon and you get your visa as well. Secondly, yes its up to visa officer's mood, if he is in a good mood he never checks anything and approves your visa otherwise he pokes his nose in every other thing. So don't worry. Everything will be good at your side. I m from Pakistan and waiting since 7 months. Life is getting too tough. My mother is in USA and i have not met her since 5 years. I want you to pray for me.. Who knows whose prayer will be heard.

Are you in Pakistan now? My husband is from Pakistan also but lives and works in Spain. We've been in AP a little over a month. It's hard for him because they kept his passport at the interview so now he cannot take any contracted work outside of Spain without it. We all need prayers.....

I've noticed that many people from Pakistan gets AP. I'm sure it's because of the scrutiny of the travel ban.

Greetings friends!

I came back to inform you that I have received my visa after a long administrative processing, finally!

I am currently in the United States, where my now spouse and I were finally reunited.

I was placed under administrative processing in late 2016, well before the ds5535 existed. We waited, and waited and waited, until one day, a year later, I was called. They asked to resubmit some documents along with a fresh medical exam, which we promptly did. We were then placed under a little bit more Administrative Processing, three or four months, I had stopped counting the days and months at that point... They then emailed us the ds5535 form. the latter took about 2 months to finish, and the visa was finally issued.

I had honestly never in my life felt more relief and happiness than the day I picked up my passport with the visa printed on it.

tl;dr: ap for 400+ days, ds5535 took 2 months to complete, visa was issued.

I will haha! I wish you all hear a good news soon as well.

Let's hope!

I just sat down and wrote to my Congressman. I urge you all to do the same.

Actually felt good to have my story added to the story of our country. For better or for worse.
