Guys is it good when the case creation date changes and visa type goes from immigrant to non-immigrant?

That means welcome to the United States...congratulations

I made a call to the Embassy yesterday and was told that they are waiting to get the administrative processing (ds-5535) finished from Washington. I asked if there was anything I could do as far as sending a letter to DOS or to my state officials and they said no, they were working to get everything finished and as soon as they do, they’ll contact my fiancé to tell him the next steps.

I’m praying we here something soon!!!!

hello there @Tarsha do you think this is for all DS-5535?? I'm confuse so to everyone that sends form DS-5535 forms get send to Washington??could that be the reason why this process is taking soooo long?? I called NVC an they told me that once your interview is scheduled the consulate you went to will take over your case  she told me that if I had any questions just to contact them......I'm sooo confused now

Hi! I called the embassy where my fiancé’s interview was taken place in his country. You can call your embassy because that’s who has your application. The ds-5535 information is the only thing the US has so they can do the processing (checks).

Thank you...I hope there’s good news for everyone soon

one more question @Tarsha may I ask where your interview took place???

Yes, I do think that’s with all ds-5535 and no NVC will not have any information on your case.

Hello All,

I am really glad I found this forum.

My husband had interview on Jan 10th. He was given the supplemental questions form also. Case is on AP. Last update Feb 5th. Still waiting. Very painful time :(

Hope it doesn't take too long.

How often do people see updates on their AP status?  Interview Feb 5, with updates on Feb 12, 15 and 16.

i had an update today the 17th, i am kinda surprised, i did not think that they would work on a Saturday. so that total is 3 updates since the interview date.

Hope so . Same boat :)

Same here my interview was 11 Jan

Not sure, but from what I heard the admin processing for immigrant visas is faster than the non immigrant visa

Still on AP after submitting the ds 5355 form

A couple of status updates, but that really doesn't mean anything because its just them checking if there is an update

Yes I did, also got the paper that says I will be considered for a waiver since I am from one of the banned countries

Do you know of anyone who got an approval after the DS5535? or from the banned countries since December 8
