Many in here have had the same happen to them, myself included. You get verbal approval, and what was supposed to be a week, turns into months of  waiting. But that's okay, because all in all, it's just a delay.

Hoping for the best. May any miracle happens and all of us get through this tough time soon

@SabrinaJerome were you given a 221g sheet? And,  did they keep your passport?

Yes my husband was given a 221g only. And the agent wrote on it to send social media and email addresses.

They did not keep his passport, unfortunately.

October 2011: Met in Spain

2012-2014: Video chat + visas + visits and vacations = we made it through!

June 2014: Moved to Spain, got engaged

December 31, 2015: got married

April 20, 2016: sent I130 package

May 2, 2016: package received in Chicago Lockbox - - - 12 days for delivery!! Don't use TNT couriers!!

May 2nd or 5th, 2016: email NOA1... accepted and sent to.... NEBRASKA

And now.... breeeeeeathe..... be like water my friend....

October 26th, 2016: NOA2 [We had waited almost 6 months. Received notification from the phone app, never got an email.]

November 9th 2016: USCIS sent the petition to NVC (app notification) [waited 2 weeks after approval for this]

November 25th 2016: NVC received and created account for our petition [waited 16 days after USCIS sent it, for NVC to acknowledge receipt]

Dec 1st 2016: Chose agent online DS261 [a few days later than it could've been since the above NVC email went to SPAM!]

Dec 6th 2016: Case available for paying fees. That was fast, I think! 5 days!

Took a long time to get package out because... life... and husband's family in Morocco had to travel to get police document.

Feb 20th 2017: Scan date at NVC, received weird email.

April 28th 2017: CHECKLIST. Moroccans are required to send a Court Report regardless of Police Record status. My husband had to go back to Morocco to get it in person. Also, NVC wants a 2016 tax return now that is 2017. My bad.

September 15th 2017: 2nd Scan Date at NVC. Sent for document review October 20th.

Nov 10th 2017: Email requesting document be brought to interview. Will schedule interview.

Case complete date??: TBD :clock:.... November 8th!!

Interview date : January 18, 2018!!           Result: Administrative Processing

Embassy called for new medical last week of August. New Medical Sept 10.

Visa ISSUED September 14, 2018.

Hi I am on the same boat, they did not take the passport. But I just wanted to ask how many status updated did u see on the CEAC website for your case? I got 2 so far and my interview date was 11 January 2018. Still waiting it shows admin processing

When I call NVC they say admin processing in this case means it is with the embassy and not with NVC and they cannot give us an update

Yes, your case would not be sent back to NVC unless they were denying you (that’s the good part of this dreadful experience). As long as your case is still with the embassy, you are good and will here something soon

I made a call to the Embassy yesterday and was told that they are waiting to get the administrative processing (ds-5535) finished from Washington. I asked if there was anything I could do as far as sending a letter to DOS or to my state officials and they said no, they were working to get everything finished and as soon as they do, they’ll contact my fiancé to tell him the next steps.

I’m praying we here something soon!!!!

Good luck to you. Can you tell me the contact number of the consulate in USA. I will ask my Mom living in USA to call there and take some information as she is really worried and has no way out to get relaxed on this matter.

Hi! I called the embassy where my fiancé’s interview was taken place in his country. You can call your embassy because that’s who has your application. The ds-5535 information is the only thing the US has so they can do the processing (checks).

Thank you...I hope there’s good news for everyone soon

Hello everyone,

does anyone know if they issue any visa at all or not until summer? I read in another group they won’t until final decision in Summer?

 Thanks

Do you have a source? I don't think that that's how it works. Someone just got their visa a couple of weeks ago.
