It changed from passport at us embassy/consulate to delivery information status but it's blank.

Visa hasn't been issued yet, it's been almost a month since my fiance submitted his second medical...

Hope it's soon inshallah

Yes got it, so still its same, and prays for your fiance visa, hope your waiting journey end soon.

Congratulations!! That's a very good news!! Can you tell me when you inquired in how much time the case update date use to change?

My case updated about 9 times in first month then after exact 1 month it stopped updating that was the hardest month of my life they don’t touch my case for a month but whenever I sent them inquiries they kept replying with same response and updating the case so in total I made 3 inquiries and they updated thrice so I don’t count them as case updates as they were just because of my inquiries.

I lost all hopes but then on exact 60th day my case got updated itself but status remained Ap and today it changed to issued alhumdullilah!!

That's a generic message..but hopefully it could mean it will be issued soon.

When my fiance sent his 2nd  medical in, it changed to that status. And @Rimha mentioned that it happened with hers too.

@Rashid patras Yes it’s a generic response. My case status also changed to document delivery info after 10 days of docs submission.

It's only to force them to take a decision. They can easily deny the visa my dear!

I'm on ap for 17 months. My hubby missed our anniversary twice! I had to send him his gift lol.

But he managed to visit for few months after.

If you guys are able to meet somewhere in this world for a 2 week honeymoon for cheapest cheap there is, that would be great.

May God be with you and us!!

It would be different if we can meet of course... But now we can't.. I haven't seen him since Sept 2017. They kept his passport during the interview and the US warns US Citizens from traveling to his country (Afghanistan) because of safety concerns.... We've met in India before but my youngest (3 years old) will be having brain surgery this summer and will take 2-3 months to recover fully and by that time I will also be back to work (I'm a teacher and work all year except for summer months)... I just want this whole thing to end.

There's no proof that the WOM will be denied. I hear a lot of people say that on VJ but I think its because its being spread around... do you know anyone who personally got the request denied? I don't think there's enough evidence on this site that supports if they will deny it or not deny it.... that's why the decision to push forward with it is difficult.

May God be with all of us who are suffering being apart from our loved ones! :(

WOM- Writ of Mandamus

A WOM, lawsuit seeks an order from the Court to compel the agency to take a legally required action that is withholding. In most cases, the required  action is to make a decision in the case. It will give the Embassy 60 days to come up with a decision.

Did you mention this to the embassy? They should have expedited the process just for this reason and if I guess US embassy can expedite the process based on medical grounds.

btw, best of luck with the surgery, I hope everything will go well for you and your youngest one.

after about month and a half it says that visa is issued on CEAC and passport status shows that it is collected from embassy for delivery

Congrats! How many updates did you see after receiving the questionnaire?

Oh my!! You didn't say that!!

I strongly advise you to file it then!!! This should be mentioned.

I'm sorry I judged by what you said "that your anniversary is coming up or so".

I did notify them about the surgery but I only got an update and and automatic response... that’s why I’m seriously thinking about the WOM route
