Perhaps, Standford can reach out to the Consulate, Senate or Congress on your behalf.

I would also, recommend you contacting your consulate daily even if they do not answer.

In other words, you must remain proactive, as there is a possibility your Visa is put aside to either die or have you

give up altogether. Read around the net and you will realize that USCIS and DHS officials have clearly stated this Form is nothing

less that a Tactic to slow or stop Visits and Immigration from Certain parts of the world and of Some of certain Faith.

Best of luck and do not give up.

Sorry for the late reply. Are you sure that contacting them daily is a good method to follow? What should I say? been 4 months and no update since interview date. I haven't contacted since 2 months after my opportunity there had passed.

What would you guys suggest? daily emails till they get tired of me and issue the visa?

Ameen. My advice to all is keep praying to Allah, HE listens to our duas. Send personal inquiry to embassy every 30 days and have your congressman/senator inquire on your behalf every 60 days. In Sha Allah everyone will get their visa.

My husband's interview was in sept 2018. His interview went well, but CO said she needs some time to process his case and to check his email. He was given the 221G form with AP ticked. Then the next day he got ds5535 questionnaire in his email. He was asked to

re do is medical at 6.5 months in AP. He did a new medical and the status is issued Alhumdulilah.

Congratulations! Did the status change consistently throughout the 7 months? I'm asking because I haven't seen any update on our case since 2 months (it's been a total of about 4 months since DS)

Thank you 😊 No we did not get any updates at all in the period of 6.5 months. Only when we inquired or the congresswoman sent an inquiry. Then one day the embassy emailed to redo medical.

I too am at the verge of filing WOM , but want to wait if we know of a limit of the wait. We were told all cases would be resolved by 9 months to 12 months timeframe by embasssy, but now since people are waiting for over 20 months, it makes me think if they will even cross 24 months. I am just not able to understand how can Washington not be considerate to the families of US citizens and dragging the case beyond any reasonable time-frame.

Did you do the WOM? I too am considering it. My lawyer contacted me a few times recommending i do it... my husband has been on AP after DS 5535 for 10.5 months (Afghanistan) they kept his passport during interview and we only get updates if we inquire about our case.

Congratulations on getting visa :)

Can you please tell us how many updates you had after submitting second medicals? how many days you had to wait for visa after second medicals?

Thank you.
