You can always request to get your passport back it takes 10 to 15 days to get passport.

Thanks! Did you request for your passport back? How do you know this information? And do I simply just write them an email?

Be careful! The purpose of the Ds-5535 is to look into travel history amongst other things. Will his travel delay or require another Ds-5535?

I am not sure, but I have been wondering about this for a while now. Please share your findings.

Thanks for the warning. Many people have said they requested for their spouse’s passport back. My husband travels for work to make money for his family. He NEEDS his passport. He can’t wait another 6 months without a job.
