Thanks my friend! I have been waiting for 16 month. The most realistic plan at this point is patience! I have strong faith in Allah that a solution is certain!

Isn t it ironic that "Faith", Islam and "Alah" are the very reason behind the Ds-5535? Again I hope I am wrong, but the Man in charge said: "…A complete shutdown of Muslims….etc". He attempted a Ban on all Muslim Countries, but had to narrow it down. Very Sad how religion can be the root of a lot of evil on this planet. When religion should bring peace and justice to all humanity regardless or nationality, faith, gender, color, ethnicity etc…. I have great respect for all religions, but have zero tolerance nor respect for extremism in any religion, shape or form. Let us hop the Man finds it in his heart and allow our loved ones to come home. He is our only hope and the greater Powers too, of course. Be it Alah, Krishna, Jesus, Buddha or Pegasus.

When has that ever happened, well  maybe the Quakers and a very few others. And I am not sure about the Quakers.

Well: we will disagree here! I think this is not the place for this type of discussion. Our issue right now is not religion. The issue is the DS5535 form and a government policy!

Yea i agree but it is a loophole to discriminate against a specific group of people based on religion, ethnicity, or nationality

I emailed ds5535 yestrday and got an automated reply from Isb embassy. i also emailed them my resume as they also asked for it. as per the experiences shared by the ppl here its really scary. my wife will have our baby soon. i am that unfortunate guy who will not be present with my wife when my baby  will come in this world. my wife is depressed and cries when we talk. i am also depressed too. unfortunately we cant do anything except wait.

Whoever thinks ds5535 is truly for background check is missing out alot. Background check has always existed in all embassies around the world. You don't need 6+ months to check on a person's ###### background.

They just want to **** with you my friend out of hateful and vengeful feelings for our countries.

Unfortunately the automated reply is all you will get. The only other replies I got were just telling me to "read the automated reply".

When no one is here to reply and give you a clear and valid reason as to why you are waiting, you can be sure that they are just messing with your emotions.

I'm sorry for hearing you might miss the birth of your baby. Unfortunatly many other members are in the same boat. A member once said he missed the birth, first words, first steps and the first day of school of his little girl due to unjustified 221g. Others missed on visiting their sick and dying family members. Others missed out on an opportunity to get the medical treatment they need.

I hope it will be over soon for you and all those with urgent cases.
