Hi my wife is from one of the ban countries she had her interview October 282017 they told her to feel out the supplemental questionnaire form and the next day after her interview we sent the form to the embassy since then until now her case is under administration  processing however I contacted with the congressman and the Congressman sent email. Then they said they waiting fr waiver from the government. Then my attorney and I decided to request waiver, after my attorney and I collected a lot of information we sent the waiver to the embassy then the next day they reply the email.

And this is their respond

Thank you for your email.

Our records indicate that this case requires further administrative processing because the adjudicating officer determined this case may qualify for a waiver under the Presidential Proclamation 9645 (PP9645).  Please be assured we are following required procedures for a waiver under PP9645 and are closely monitoring this case for a change in status.

When this administrative processing is required, the timing will vary based on individual circumstances of each case.  Unfortunately, we cannot provide a specific timeline.

We do look into each specific request prior to our response, and if our response is similar to a past response, it is because we have nothing new to report.

so now my advice is just ask ur lawyer to request a waiver before it gets late

Just wanted to give everyone hope inshallah:

my husband's visa was issued!  Syrian, banned, he was given a waiver after 4 months in administrative processing. He will come to the US inshallah next week.

Keep pushing anyone around you that you can for support. This is the only way. Be respectful to embassy staff but follow up over email at least once a month. Talk to your senators and representatives. Get anyone who can to make an inquiry on your case! I have a feeling we were only successful because of sustained pressure over time, from media as well if you can! I wrote a personal essay and last week when things were being spoken about in the news again, I posted it on FB and I believe this had some part in it.
